That passion created Indian River Billing, Inc., and since 1997 IRBI has been successfully collecting money due from insurance companies for healthcare providers and the general public.

It was during my personal health crisis I discovered the challenging world of health insurance. I did not worry about how the medical bills were going to get paid I had plenty of good insurance coverage. How naive I was.

Healthcare providers and the general public alike, we all pay our monthly insurance premiums in good faith. We have a formal written agreement and expect it to be honored. After all, that is how business is done.

Insurance companies do not honor the written agreement and deny 30% of all claims for no reason. This is just one stall tactic. Because of all the tactics the insurance companies use, medical practices have closed, leaving the provider broke and in some cases forced into bankruptcy and 62% of all bankruptcies in America are due to unpaid medical bills.

The unacceptable challenging world of health insurance has created an opportunity for me to make a difference in the world. At the end of the day when myself and the staff at Indian River Billing, Inc., make the insurance company honor the formal written agreement, reimburse correctly and timely for the healthcare providers hard work and keep a person from bankruptcy it was a GREAT day in paradise!

As a member of these organizations I subscribe to the code of ethics and standards of the Academy and the Associations. I am currently studying to become a Certified Professional Coder.
